Abide : uh-bahyd

Definition:

to remain; continue; stay: Abide with me.

These Covid 19 days are truly teaching us the importance of staying close to the Lord as we navigate the unknown. Without His promised continual presence we would not have any certainty of our direction or peace in our plans. Our ability to abide with Him gives us confidence that He is in control and NOTHING catches Him by surprise! John 16:33 says,”These things I have spoken to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

Pray with us that we may all be steadfast in our abiding as we trust Him because He is always faithful!

Abide with me, fast falls the even tide

The darkness deepens Lord, with me abide

When other helpers fail and comforts flee

Help of the helpless, oh, abide with me.
